* Please look through your child's STAR binder each night
*Behavior Chart- Please do not be upset with your child for not being on blue or red. These colors recognize BETTER THAN AVERAGE behavior. Green signifies that they did what they were expected and required of for the day, which is great! Your child may stay on green the entire day, and still have had great behavior. Blue and red are for when I see a student going out of their way to follow expectations, without any reminder or prompting. These are usually rare, so please praise your child when they are on green as well! Green is good!! Encourage them to try hard for the higher colors, but understand that green is not a negative place to be. I just wanted to clarify this because I have had several "How can my child get on blue or red?" questions. There is nothing you can tell your child to do, it is just a natural occurrence of their own positive behavior and good choices.
Yellow serves as a warning, and tells that the child had to be reminded often throughout the day to make better choices than what they were choosing. Please do not be too alarmed if your child is on yellow every once in a while. This just serves as a warning. However, if your child is yellow repeatedly and often, this is more than likely an ongoing problem!
Orange shows that poor choices were made by the student throughout the day, or a very serious incident happened that will require consequences. If you have any questions, please let me know! Thank you! :)
* Don't forget to send a snack with your child each day!
* Library books are due every Friday! Your child must bring back their book in order to check out another one!
